In support of our Dutch colleague Peer Joosten and all other ALS patients, IMAP has formed a 4 strong team of swimmers prepared to brave the 2 km (1.24 mile) swim in the Amsterdam canals on Sunday September 8th to raise research funding for ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or Lou Gherig's disease).
Joining Jan Pieter Borst and Zheng Yang from IMAP Netherlands are: Jan Olof Svensson from IMAP Sweden, Ian Bussey from the UK.
The Amsterdam City Swim Foundation strives to raise funds for research and our IMAP colleagues will swim 2,000 meters to raise money for ALS research in honor of our colleague Peer.
We need to raise €400 for each individual team member to complete the swim. Now we need your generous support for our recently added international swimmers.
